Online Application Process​​

All applications must be submitted through our online portal. The portal is managed by the Community Foundation of Marquette County and allows you to upload required documents, save your progress, and receive confirmation of submission. Please note that while the Community Foundation administers the application process, the Ray and Peg Hirvonen Foundation operates as an independent entity, maintaining its own review procedures and programming guidelines. Who we fund
We fund 501(c)(3) organizations who provide services within Michigan’s Marquette & Alger Counties and Martin County, Florida. We provide assistance to over 40 groups annually, with a range of $1,000 to $15,000 per organization. Youth, seniors, education, and cultural preservation are key components of our mission.
When we fund
We do the majority of funding at our annual board meeting in August.
